About

IEEE IAS Humanitarian Activities Committee (HAC) carries out and supports global IEEE humanitarian initiatives and activities that benefit society. IAS HAC focuses on leveraging industrial and electrical technology to improve lives in underserved communities. It promotes “engineering for a better future” by supporting student-led projects and fostering partnerships (with NGOs, non-state actors and volunteering organizations) that address local needs in energy, water, health, and agriculture. It identifies scope of IAS within the relevant humanitarian related projects, conferences and programs and include IAS as the supporting society with strong financial support. Furthermore, it works toward developing concrete IAS humanitarian projects that have impactful outcomes by the end of the program. The key objective of IEEE IAS HAC is to drive and engage with community-driven initiatives and ensure such programs are sustainable in social, economic and financial aspects.

Currently,

IAS HAC has strong engagements with

Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS)

IEEE Smart Village (ISV) projects
