Sponsorship Rules
IAS approves the sponsorship of a conference if some basic rules are respected.
- The topics of the conference must fall within IAS’s scope (totally or partially).
- During the conference it is mandatory to organize an event and/or arrange a corner devoted to IAS’ promotion.
- An IAS member must be nominated “IAS liaison officer”, responsible for the compliance with IAS sponsorship rules. In particular, the liaison officer must represent IAS’ interests, guarantee the respect of sponsorship’s rules and duties, inform the conference attendees about IAS’ activities, and promote IAS mission, with the purpose to attract new members. The name and email contact of the liaison officer must be clearly indicated in the conference website as part of the conference management structure. At the end of the conference, the liaison officer must provide a brief report, attesting the compliance with the rules.

About the IAS Selected Conferences Program
The Meetings Department has launched a program to strengthen the link with a group of selected conferences, enhancing the level and quality of involvement of both parties (IAS and the sponsored conference).
On one hand, these conferences will have more visibility through all IAS means of communications and will be allowed to use a special logo in all the conference official media communications in addition to the IAS logo.
On the other hand, the conference is required to promote IAS scope and mission with additional actions with respect to the standard ones. Examples are: using banners at the conference entrance and registration desk, guaranteeing the presence of volunteers at IAS desk/booth for all the duration of the conference, and providing a presentation of 10-15 minutes during the opening plenary session. The source material is provided by IAS. Upon request, IAS can also provide a financial contribution to cover the costs related to this promotional material.
