Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department Committees

As one of the four IAS Technical Departments, we are responsible for establishing policies that will help our members acquire new knowledge and technology related to industrial and commercial power systems, and to provide a forum for information exchange and networking. The Industrial & Commercial Power Systems Departments (I&CPSD) represents the five technical committees listed below.

Scope: The scope of the Codes and Standards Committee is the treatment of all matters within the scope of the IAS in which the emphasis or dominant factor specifically relates to the conduct of liaison with standard-making and code-making bodies which affect electrical supply, distribution and utilization in industrial plants and commercial buildings, and also to provide the focal point and authority for the Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department pertaining to codes and standards activities.  (All such work is to be done in cooperation with the Society Standards Department.)

Scope: The scope of the Data Center Sub-Committee is the treatment of all matters within the scope of the IAS in which the emphasis or dominant factor specifically relates to Data Center Gray Space which includes electrical supply, distribution and utilization Equipment located on the customer side of the utility meter. Also to provide the focal point and authority for the Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department pertaining to data center activities. Participation in the subcommittee will allow you to be involved in development of technical papers, application guides, industry application presentations, thought leadership activities, and learn about various industry specific topics. (All such work is to be done in cooperation with the Society Standards Department.).
